You deserve a person-centred, holistic, and empowered perinatal journey. My mission is to support that journey as an engaged ally and transition facilitator.

As a certified perinatal doula in Toronto, I am dedicated to honouring and affirming all aspects of who you are during this major life transition, including your spiritual and emotional needs.

Social justice and liberation are integral to my prenatal, birth, and postpartum doula practice and I welcome all races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities and family structures, including couples, single parents, polyamorous families, and platonic co-parenting arrangements.

I live in East Toronto and support clients in Toronto & Scarborough.

Supporting You

In addition to my training as a labour and postpartum doula (Doula Canada), you will be supported by the eclectic mix of skills and experiences I bring to the table.

With a two-decade track record in health, and equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) policy and research, my informational support is thorough and evidence-based. Additionally, my knowledge of the healthcare system is extensive. I apply this knowledge to support my clients with customized information, system navigation, and advocacy.

As a classically trained singer and a mindfulness practitioner, I love offering these unique skills to support my clients with their childbirth, family planning, and parenting goals.

Mindfulness & Singing in Childbirth

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is a wellness practice that people have used to peacefully navigate life's ups, downs, and transitions for over 2600 years. The techniques teach the practitioner to focus the mind and stay connected to thoughts, emotions, and sensations in the present moment. Many of the techniques are helpful for navigating the experience of birth and new parenthood. Talk to me about how we can include mindfulness in your birth and postpartum doula care plan!

Singing

Most people vocalize instinctively during labour and delivery. Tapping into your voice effectively can be a powerful strategy for coping with childbirth. Some cultures even have songs and chants that have been used traditionally by birthers and their support people.

Singing is also a great way to connect with and soothe your new baby!

We can include singing and voice lessons in your doula care plan so you can use your natural instrument with confidence on your perinatal journey.
